GUMBO

Georgetown University Multi- and Bi-racial Organization (GUMBO) is dedicated to providing an environment for students from multiple ethnic or cultural backgrounds to connect.  We welcome people from all backgrounds, as we wouldn't exist without all of you.

GUMBO holds an annual Bone Marrow-thon to increase the number of minorities in the donor registery.  Generally, matches are found among those from similar ethnic backgrounds.  Currently, the number of minorities in the registery is very small, making it difficult for minorities to obtain bone marrow transplants if a family member is not a match. Bi- and multi-racial individuals account for only 2% of the total registry.  This year's Bone Marrow-thon was held at the end of March, and over 180 people were registered.

GUMBO's  "Everyone loves a mixed Hoya" shirts are now on sale! Check out the design under photos and email georgetown.gumbo@gmail.com to place an order, or stop by Red Square on Saturday March 31, or all week after Easter Break.
