Georgetown Players

Children's Theatre was conceived as an outlet for those who wanted to perform community service and do theatre at the same time. Since its inception in fall 1995, the Theatre Company has performed shows in many venues for varied audiences. Each year, the Theatre Company performs a Children's Theatre show for inner-city DC schools. Since 1997, the Players have also taken a musical revue into retirement communities and nursing homes. In the past, Habitat for Humanity has benefited from two murder mystery dinner theatre shows that the Players produced to raise money for the charity. Members of Children's Theatre have also participated in Georgetown University's Health Education program, most notably as actors in an informative show, whose name changes each year, for incoming first-year students that portrays the potential hazards of college life.
