7th Annual UNICEF-Georgetown International Development Conference
Friday, November 6th, 2009 4:00 pm –10:00 pm The UNICEF-Georgetown International Development Conference is a day of workshops and dinner that aims to raise awareness for development issues and to inspire greater activism among the student population. The conference is divided into two parts: (1) Workshops that will cover a diverse set of topics ranging from economic development, South American public policy, to human rights and international health. Each workshop will be led by an expert in the field who will give a presentation on a specific issue or theme, or the experts will discuss their job in relation to international development. The conference will be followed by (2) a formal dinner where students will be seated with the experts and be given the opportunity to discuss the workshops and panels. We are honored to have Ms. Cynthia McCaffrey, Senior Vice President and Chief Program Officer of UNICEF, to deliver the keynote address on this year’s theme - ‘Believe in Zero.’
